The thought just occurred to me.
The reason the Democrats and Leftists are so up in arms regarding this SCOTUS ruling is that it takes away one of their pillars of the narrative, specifically that they are the friend of the downtrodden.
If people start being successful due to their merit and not their immutable characteristics then their narrative that America is racist crumbles.
It also takes away their ability to use the bigotry of low expectations and divisive rhetoric to keep their voting base from seeing that they can succeed without the Left.
That is really what scares them about this, along with showing the "captured" that America's value of meritocracy applied equally is the best path forward and is central to the American ideals of liberty, freedom and independence.

Last night, the Democrats in Congress showed America what petulant children, low IQ morons they are.
No one, absolutely no one should ever vote for them again as they are anti-American little children.
The adults are back in charge and We The People need to ensure through voting that it stays that way.
